Juan Manuel Vinós, Bultaco CEO and cofounder: “What began as a thesis project turned into a company with the size and solidity needed to create a new generation of Bultaco motorcycles”.

Absolutely right, the dream of a new Bultaco electric motorbike was born at Carlos III University Scientific Park in Madrid and continues to evolve thanks to the technology developed there.

This is why, on 26 September, Carlos III University Science Park in Madrid wanted to celebrate and share its success in innovation, which has had quite an impact on how the industry has evolved, on employment, and on the market itself.

This was a must-go event, and there was no way we were going to miss out on a chance to talk to everyone who could make it, as well as those who couldn’t. To make this happen, Bultaco was there on Twitter @Bultaconline, tweeting everything that happened at the event. This is what we shared:

Paloma Domingo, Director of the UC3M Science Park:

A “question of principle”, because innovation is part of the founding spirit of Bultaco, which is still seen at the new Bultaco Motors.

The initial idea came from a thesis project by a UC3M student and some enterprising professors and researchers at an institution specializing in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, the park itself.

UC3M scientist: This was the basis for an innovative business and technology-based project supported by the Business Incubator which today has managed to attain the size and solidity needed to create anew generation of Bultaco Motorcycles.

We are pleased to announce that the new Bultaco Lab R&D center will move forward, expanding its creative mission at the UC3M Science Park. The university is eager to continue transferring the knowledge acquired in its research and providing solutions to its R&D needs in order to build a lasting working partnership.

Innovation is a question of principle, and Carlos III University Scientific Park in Madrid is the perfect place to develop and promote it.
