May 17th, 2014, on the anniversary of the founding of the brand and the birthday of its creator, Mr. Paco Bultó, Bultaco announced its return to the motorcycle market.

Something that had been anticipated for years and eagerly awaited by many people, was finally unveiled at the St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel: the rebirth of a legend.

Its development, like all the great things we know, was not without difficulty. It was entwined with the enthusiasm and the commitment that are characteristic of the “Bultaco spirit”.

The same spirit that kept the brand alive for so long has now, 30 years later, made it possible for Bultaco to be back among us again.

A historic day, an international city, a magic stage and a spirit deeply shared by the attendants.  This was the environment where the memorable event was celebrated, and where Bultaco showed itself to the world again.

The atmosphere felt infused with the values of Mr. Paco Bulto– especially thanks to his oldest daughter, Inés Bultó. The same values were expressed through different personalities, anecdotes and feelings. How can we forget examples like the mythical Irish rider Sammy Miller, and how could we contain our excitement of watching him speak at such a special event.

The anticipation in the air was palpable when Gerald Poelmann (President), Juan Manuel Vinós (CEO) and Germán JoséPerez, (I+D Director) presented the Rapitán and Rapitán Sport – two motorbikes that represent authentic Bultaco spirit in the 21st century. They wear the name “Rapitan”that Mr. Paco Bultówanted to use, but never saw applied. The name has been reborn thanks to the memory of his daughter.

Many people – some in person, and some via live streaming – lived and enjoyed this event all over the world. An event that turns our gaze towards the future, remembering a glorious past and sharing an exciting present.
